 Course Planning

Elementary and Junior High:
In cooperation with the Ministry of Education Implementation of Guidelines for a 9-Year Joint Curricula Plan for Elementary and Junior High Schools, courses are divided into seven major subject areas. These areas include language, mathematics, social science, natural science and life, health education and physical education, arts and humanities, and comprehensive activity. Courses are designed with the students in mind, focusing on life learning experiences and the interaction of the individual and society and nature. Through these experiences the school hopes to cultivate the students* moral integrity, humanity, organizational skills, democratic outlook, and local and international insights. Through these skills the school hopes to prepare the student for the needs of modern society.

High School:
In accordance with the Ministry of Education Guidelines for general courses in technical and vocational school, students must take 64 credits in general required courses. These required courses include 18 credits in Chinese language, 14 credits in foreign language, 4 credits in mathematics, 16 credits in social science, 4 credits in natural science, and 8 credits in life. Course materials are based on the educational level of the students, the needs of society, and the requirements of the school. The layout of the courses is done in the hopes that the students will develop useful skills to match with their professional knowledge and enable them to develop into good outstanding citizens.

College:
In accordance with the Ministry of Education course guidelines for technical and vocational school, students must take 18 credits in general required courses. These required courses include 6 credits in Chinese language, 6 credits in foreign language, 4 credits in social science, 2 credits in computer science, and 4 elective credits in language, social science, or information science. All courses are offered according to teacher掇 expertises. Each subjects and the activities is integrated with topics such as moral education, professional safety and hygiene, life education, health education, gender relationship, social value clarification, environmental protection education, and life planning in order to improve students* inner learning ability and to reach the goal of complete and versatile education.
